Reminders for the week.
  • We have had children in the kiwi team bringing raro packets to school. Please can these not be brought to school as they are of no nutritional value.
  • Information has now been sent home about your child’s role in our Production. Please return the permission slips so we know who is able to make to to the evening shows.
  • Thank you for our offers of help with painting, sewing, making props and face painting. Please keep these offers of help rolling in.
  • Below is a list of props we would love to borrow for roles in the play- if you are happy to have them borrowed by other children please send to school in a named plastic bag and make sure the item well named. Thanks in advance.

Reminders for the week.
-Thank you so much to all our parent helpers that volunteered their time at our athletics day and our gala. Thanks also to Miss M for organising our Air NZ visit and to Chris Griggs for talking to us about Coastguard and boat safety.
- Production this Term- ‘Trouble In Fairyland’. all students in the Kiwi and Pukeko teams are involved in a musical performance called “Trouble in Fairyland.” The focus of the performance will be on drama and dance.  
The dress rehearsal- Wednesday the 6th of December at 11:30am. This performance is for the school only and we will not be selling tickets or admitting family members.
Two evening performances- Wednesday the 6th of December, at 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm
Thursday the 7th of December  at 6:30pm until 7:30pm  
Performances will be held in the Reremoana School hall. $10 per ticket (seat)
Please note that tickets will be on sale from Monday the 20th of November 2017.
We really hope that all our junior students will be able to take part on both nights. We would appreciate it if you could let your child’s classroom teacher know should your child not be available for the performance nights.
We would really appreciate any form of help with the creation of costumes and props.

Week 1 Notices


Welcome to Term 4! We hope you had a great holiday!

Let’s hope that the weather improves this term! Hats are now needed for Term 4 so time to dig them out and make sure they are named please.

This Term our Inquiry is around providing a service to our school and community. We would love it if any parents/ family members/ friends would be able to come in and talk to our team about their job and how they help the community eg medic, police officer, firefighter, nurse, bus driver, council etc

Please contact your child’s teacher to arrange a suitable time. We are hoping to have these visits this week and next week if possible.

Athletics is on Friday 27th October (week 2). Students will need a t-shirt in their house colour. This year it is being held at Massey Park, Papakura. Parent helpers are needed. Please return your permission slip and money asap. If you are able to help please indicate on the slip and the school will be in contact with you.

School Gala Saturday 28th October (week 2). We are on the hunt for as many helpers as possible. Please return the helpers notice if you or a relative are able to help on the day.

Diwali


It is important that we celebrate different cultures within our school. This week is the Indian festival of Diwali -  festival of light. We have had some lovely parents offer to come in and create Henna Tattoo patterns on our children's’ hands in K3. These patterns can last on the skin for up 4-5 days. If you would like your child to have a Henna tattoo pattern drawn on their hand please sign and return the permission slip below.
